Our Wednesday Homeschool Social & Cultural Dance + Acro class is a 90-minute weekly program designed for children ages 5–12. Students will explore movement through a mix of social dance, cultural dance styles, rhythm, coordination, teamwork, and age-appropriate acro skills.
Throughout the program, dancers will be introduced to movement styles inspired by different cultures and communities while building confidence, musicality, strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Classes are designed to be engaging, educational, and social — giving homeschool students an opportunity to learn new skills while connecting with other children in a creative environment.
No prior dance or acro experience is required.

DAYTIME DANCE ACADEMY
A three-hour weekly program for homeschool students ages 6–15. Blending Dance Fundamentals, Cultural Dance, Percussion, and Musical Theater to spark creativity, confidence, and community.

$45 one-time non-refundable Registration Fee (per student, per block)
Scholarship Option

Families using the Step Up For Students Scholarship may apply their funding to cover the monthly tuition.

Please note: the $45 registration fee is not covered by SUFS and is due at enrollment. (If your student is already enrolled in a program at Island Groove, you do not need to pay the $45 registration fee again.)

STEP 1 : Log In/Create an IGD Parent Portal account using the "RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY" button above.
STEP 2 : Register for "Daytime Dance Academy" in our Homeschool Enrichment Program season.
STEP 3 : Pay the $45 Registration Fee to secure your placement with IGD.
($5 Tiered Registration Fee Discount is applied for each additional sibling)
APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE:
STEP 4 : Sign Up/Log In to your EMA (Education Market Assistant) account (red link above)
STEP 5 : In the sidebar navigation (desktop view), click on Marketplace under Expenditure Requests.
STEP 6 : Select Find Providers.
STEP 7 : Choose the student this request will apply to.
STEP 8 : In the search bar, type Island Groove Dance and click the link for the studio once it appears.
STEP 9 : Select the correct dance studio location (in-person only).
STEP 10 : Scroll down to the course you would like to enroll in.
• Example: Homeschool Enrichment Program (3 hours, once per week).

STEP 11 : When completing the order, please add a note with what the order is for.
